Our Campus Organizations


The Jefferson Center is located on Jefferson Avenue East of downtown Columbus. Jefferson Avenue runs North and South between Broad Street and Long Street.

The Jefferson Center campus is made up of eleven buildings. We lease one room spaces to starter organizations and whole buildings to larger agencies.

Nearby neighbors include the Columbus Museum of Art, Columbus College of Art & Design and Columbus State Community College.

Action for Children

Founded in 1972, Action for Children is the source for child care and early learning services in central Ohio.  For parents and families, we help find child care and early learning experiences for children. For early childhood professionals, we offer valuable professional development workshops and support services for new or established programs, staffing assistance for center directors, and links to employment opportunities for early childhood professionals. For the central Ohio community, we provide information on the importance of quality child care and early learning, effective advocacy on behalf of children and families, resources for community planning, and opportunities available for the corporate community.
